mitograph / Shimpei Mito

Photographer based in Tokyo, Japan.

Born and raised in Kyoto, Shimpei Mito graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design before moving to New York.

Inspired by the distinctive styles and personalities of people attending fashion shows, he launched mitograph, a street-style photography blog documenting the fashion scene in New York.

He later expanded his work to London, Milan, and Paris, photographing all four major international fashion weeks.

Now based in Tokyo, he works with domestic and international fashion and beauty brands, photographing fashion shows, backstage moments, portraits, street style, and events.

京都生まれ。京都造形芸術大学卒業後、ニューヨークへ移住。

ファッションショーに集まる人々の個性豊かな装いに魅了され、ファッションスナップサイト「mitograph」を立ち上げる。

ニューヨークを起点に、ロンドン、ミラノ、パリへと活動の場を広げ、世界四大ファッションウィークで撮影経験を積む。

現在は東京を拠点に、国内外のファッションブランドや大手化粧品ブランドとの仕事を中心に、ファッションスナップ、ポートレート、ショー、バックステージ、イベント撮影など幅広く活動している。
